When Shelbee on the Edge announced a music‑inspired outfit theme for her link party, I knew exactly where my mind was going—straight back to the 90’s and one of my all‑time favorite songs, Take On Me by A‑ha. The first time I saw that video on MTV, I fell head‑over‑heels for the whole vibe. His greased‑up 50’s rock‑and‑roller look, the leather jacket, the energy… I was hooked instantly.

And listen—I’m 70’s born, 80’s raised, and yes, I partied as a teen in the 90’s, so this theme felt like home to me.

For my outfit, I pulled inspiration from A‑ha’s lead singer. He wore jeans in the video, but y’all know I always add my own flare. I grabbed my cropped black leather jacket from the closet and paired it with shiny black leather leggings for a sleek, modern twist. Then I threw on my black graphic tee with the colorful letters spelling out my decades—70’s, 80’s, 90’s—because that’s my story and I wear it proudly.

To finish it off, I added dark shades and my pink glitter high‑top sneakers with the studded heel. Those shoes brought the fun, the sparkle, and the rock‑pop attitude I’ve always loved. The whole look came together as a playful mix of retro and edgy—my kind of rockin’ outfit.
